What you get · v2.4

Built for how the community actually moves.

01 · Home

Every event, with the real flyer.

One scrollable feed of every NJ masjid's events — pulled from their Instagram, websites and calendars, with the actual posters, dates, times and locations. Filter by topic or who it's for: sisters, brothers, family, youth.

02 · Browse

A flyer wall and a map with every masjid's logo.

Browse posters like a bulletin board, or open the map — each masjid sits on its pin with its own logo. Tap one for directions and what's coming up there.

03 · Plan

Save, RSVP, add to calendar.

One tap to RSVP "Going", one tap to drop it on your calendar. Your Plan tab keeps the week sorted — Going or All — with a month view so nothing sneaks up on you.

04 · Reminders & follows

A nudge two hours before. Straight to the event.

RSVP and your reminders land the morning of and about two hours before — the two-hour one only when the flyer prints a time, because we never guess one. The notification opens the exact event. Follow masjids and the scholars you love so their programs come to you.

05 · Noor

Meet Noor, your thirty-second guide.

A cat in a kufi walks you through the tabs the first time you open the app. Skip it, or let Noor point. Afterwards, a quick "How was it?" after events you attended helps the feed learn what you like.

06 · The Drop

Invite 10 friends, get a hoodie or tee free.

Nothing is sold in the app. Share your invite code — when 10 friends join with it, pick any Masjid.ly piece free. Following @masjid.ly on Instagram from the app counts as one of the ten. One free piece per code, while this run lasts.

Straight from the flyer

If the flyer says after Isha, so do we.

When a masjid doesn't print a time, Masjid.ly doesn't make one up. Every event is checked against what the organiser actually posted — and when their own post says more, it's one tap away.

An event page in Masjid.ly: the flyer reads Every Wednesday, After Isha, and the app shows Wed, Sep 30 · After Isha, with Read the original post under the description
How an event with no printed time shows in Masjid.ly
On the flyer “Every Wednesday · After Isha”
In Masjid.ly After Isha
Never 7:30 PMa guessed time
  • Times exactly as printed

No clock on the flyer? You see the organiser's words — After Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha — not a guessed hour. Your reminder says it too, and Add to calendar saves it for the day.

We tidy each description so it's quick to read. When the organiser's own Instagram caption, email or event-page text says more, tap Read the original post under ours.

  • Checked against the poster

An AI reviewer reads every event against its own flyer (or the organiser's page when there's none). The flyer settles the name, date, time, speaker and place unless the masjid posts a change. A flyer for a different event is dropped — a wrong flyer is worse than none.

  • Share any event

Every event page has a share button — the paper plane next to the heart, each with its count. Drop it in the group chat and the link opens with the real flyer, the time and the place — not a screenshot of a screenshot.

Every event you share carries your invite code.

The whole state

50+ masjids & orgs. Hundreds of events. One map.

From Bergen to Burlington, Masjid.ly maps the masjids around you — each one on its pin with its own logo — and lights up the ones with something happening this week. Find your next halaqa by where you are, not by which group chat you happened to be in.

The Drop · free merch

Invite 10 friends. Pick any piece, free.

Nothing is sold in Masjid.ly — the hoodies and tees are a thank-you. It runs on your invite code: a friend counts once they've entered your code and opened the app. Ten verified friends and any piece from the drop is yours.

  1. 1Open the You tab and share your code — your invite page shows it with a Copy button. Share with as many people as you like; there's no limit.
  2. 2A friend downloads Masjid.ly and enters your code. Once they open the app they're verified and your count goes up (you'll get a notification too, unless notifications are off or it's your quiet hours). Tapping Follow @masjid.ly when you set up the app counts as one.
  3. When a friend taps Download on your invite link, your code is copied for them — they paste it when the app asks during setup.
  4. 3At 10 verified friends, pick a hoodie or a tee from The Drop — it's yours.
  5. Your request opens a WhatsApp chat with Shaheer, who verifies your friends and arranges your piece.

One free piece per invite code, while this run lasts. We'll reach you to arrange pickup. Terms

What people open it for

  • Friday night. "What's happening tonight near me?" — one scroll, real posters, directions.
  • The weekly halaqa. RSVP (or tap the bell) and the reminder lands that morning — plus two hours before when the flyer prints a time.
  • A visiting speaker. Follow the scholar, and you'll know when they're at any masjid in NJ.
  • Family & youth programs. Filter by who it's for — sisters, brothers, family, youth — and plan the weekend.

  • Privacy-first by default

We don't sell your data. Ever. There's no tracking-for-ads business hiding behind the app — just the events.

  • No ads, nothing for sale

  • Works as a guest

Open it and start browsing, saving and planning. No account required — ever. Ask for location once, and it just works.

Questions

Good to know.

  • Yes — completely. No ads, no subscriptions, nothing sold in the app, and we never sell your data.

  • No. Masjid.ly runs in guest mode — browse, save, RSVP and follow without a name, email or password. So alerts can reach you, the app keeps your notification token, follows, notification settings, saves and RSVPs, simple usage events (and your location, if you allow it) on our server under your app's random IDs — its invite code and a private install ID — not your name, email or phone. If you add a first name, it's sent with the things you share; your name and a phone number or email reach us only if you claim merch. You can get a copy of it, or delete it, in the app (an invite code from an app version before September 30, 2026 needs a quick email for the part stored under it). None of it is sold. The privacy policy lists exactly what's stored.

  • Masjid.ly is focused on events — the feed, posters, reminders and your plan. For the daily salah schedule, use your masjid's own schedule.

  • We gather them from each masjid's public Instagram, website, calendar and newsletter, keep the real poster attached, and check every event against it — refreshed every day.

  • Because that's what the organiser printed. When a flyer gives no clock time, Masjid.ly shows their own words — After Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib or Isha — instead of guessing one. Save it and you still get a heads-up the evening before; RSVP and it comes that morning. Add to calendar saves it for the day, never at a made-up hour.

  • The description at the top of an event is a short, cleaned-up summary. When the organiser's own Instagram caption, email or event page says more, it sits right under it — tap Read the original post to see it in their words.

  • An AI reviewer reads every new or changed event against its own flyer (or the organiser's page when there's no flyer). The flyer settles the name, date, time, speaker and place; posts that aren't events are left out, and a flyer that belongs to a different event is dropped. Still see something wrong? Email [email protected] and we'll fix it.

  • Yes — every event page has a Share button. The link opens with the real flyer, the time and the place in iMessage, WhatsApp or anywhere else, and friends without the app can still see it.

Every event you share carries your invite code, and each event shows how many people liked and shared it.

  • Tap "Add a masjid or org" or "Submit an event" in the You tab, or email [email protected] with the name, city and Instagram or website. We'll get it on the map.

  • Share your invite code from the You tab — with as many people as you like. Ten verified friends unlock any piece in The Drop — a hoodie or a tee — free. Following @masjid.ly on Instagram from the app (tap Follow when you set it up) counts as one of the ten. One free piece per invite code, while this run lasts — we'll reach you to arrange pickup (terms). Nothing is sold in the app.

  • Someone who joined with your code and then opened Masjid.ly on their phone. Tapping Open or Download on your invite link copies your code, and they paste it when the app asks during setup (the App Store can't carry the link through a fresh install, so the code is what carries the credit). Someone who already uses the app adds it under You → Enter a friend's code. Each person counts once, for the first code they enter. When a friend joins with your code, you get a notification with your new count (if notifications are on and it's outside your quiet hours).

  • Pick your hoodie or tee in The Drop and send the request. It opens a WhatsApp chat with Shaheer and emails him, so he can verify your friends and arrange your piece.

  • Coming soon. Masjid.ly covers New Jersey masjids and community orgs today; Rutgers and campus Muslim-club events are on the way. Run an MSA? Say salam.
